Obituary of Jerry Paul Noble
Lamoine and Guilford- Jerry Paul Noble, 85, of Lamoine, Maine, passed away quietly at home on August 17, 2026. Jerry was born on August 9, 1941, in Mayville, Michigan, to Paul and Mildred (Priebe) Noble. The family moved to Maine when Jerry was 9, and he grew up in Guilford. He graduated from the University of Maine at Orono with a degree in Business Administration and was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity.
Jerry started his accounting career working as an auditor with Berry, Dunn, and McNeil, traveling around the state. He later became Treasurer of Brewer Savings Bank. He owned his own country general store in Searsport and finished his career as General Manager of Hardwood Products in Guilford.
Jerry was known for being hardworking, dedicated to family, and enjoyed sports with his children. He was an avid golfer (at one time owning his own golf course).He enjoyed swimming at camp, hunting, antiquing, and puttering around doing home improvement projects. His favorite saying was “I cut the board twice, and it’s still too short.”
Jerry is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia Allen Noble; his sister, Julie Noble and husband, Adam Jonas; son, Stephen Paul and wife, Amy; daughter, Suzanne Mary and wife, Danette; daughter, Katherine Anne and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Michael Paul, Jacob Thomas, and Avery Allen; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Mildred Noble, and his sisters, Valerie Noble and Trudy Ferden.
A family graveside service will be held in the family lot in the Elmwood Cemetery in Guilford, Maine. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Habitat for Humanity or the SPCA of Hancock County. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
