I got to know Dody from Mason Lodge in Greenville. and over time became good friends going to other Lodges and working on activates together. I am a better person having met this good man. To Gail and Family Sorrow brings hurt but also Love to you all. Dodys world is a better place having him touch so many in his life. Save me a chair at the dinner table in the Lodge above Dody so we can catch up on all the happing's..May God Bless Dodys family and my brother Dody RIP

We're very sad upon hearing of Dody's passing. He was a wonderful friend and an outstanding family man. His family meant the world to him. We'll all miss his easy manner and friendship. He was indeed the "mayor" of Rockwood, and the whole town will miss him. His was the definition of a life well lived. RIP good buddy, and be sure to save a place for the rest of us.

My sincere condolences to the family of Ivon. He was a classmate and friend of mine when we were in grammar school at St Anthony's. from 1st grade to 8th. 1946 to 1954. When we were in the 5th and 6th grade we were known as the poets. We used to raise cain in Sister Marie Adnas' class and punished by staying after school and had to memorize a poem she had picked out. before we could go home. If we could not memorize it by 5 o'clock she would send us home and we would have to stay after school the next day and continue until we got it. I enjoyed his friendship very much. So sorry to read of Dody's passing. I knew him from being at the Sheriff's Department, when he would come down for qualifications and trainings. He was a kind and sweet person and I know this will be a sad loss for the Rockwood community.

So hard to hear of Dody's passing we have so many good memories of Dody. Especially his smile and just seeing him would make you feel better. Going to get the mail was always fun and when he walked into the store it was always with good cheer. Scott and I sure wish we could have seen that Dody smile a few more times. Dody was so good to me whenever I had a question when I was filling in for my dad as postmaster in Shirley. And later I loved his and Gail's visits to the bank and our chats. Dody will be sorely missed by all those who knew him. Such a kind man.
