Dover-Foxcroft - Joyce Marie Ladd Davis, passed away at Hibbard Nursing Home on December 10, 2021. Joyce was born in Dover-Foxcroft, on November 20, 1950, the daughter of Robert and Addie (Hussey) Ladd. She grew up on Bear Hill Road and attended Foxcroft Academy, where she played trumpet in the band. She went on to the University of Maine Farmington. Joyce was employed by Bangor Merrifield Office Supplies, Sysco, and Hammond Lumber Company and lived in Bangor, Levant, Hudson, and Shirley Mills, Maine. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, dancing, being at camp, baking, and hunting. Joyce was predeceased by her beloved husband, Armand Davis. She is survived by her son, James Herrick and wife, Michelle, and daughter, Heather Livingstone and husband, Michael; step-daughters, Roxanne Chase and husband, Peter, Armanda Davis, Denise White, and Melissa Davis; and step-son, Stephen Bouchard and wife, Jackie. She also leaves grandchildren, Corbin Herrick, Camryn Herrick, Payton Livingstone, Georgia Livingstone, Josh Chase and wife, Chrissie, Lindsay Chase, and Aizik Davis Durand; and great-grandchildren, Abel, Finley, Birdie and Walker. Joyce was very close to and loved by her sister, Rebecca Reynolds; nieces, Emily Jo Reynolds and Elizabeth Littlefield; uncle, Richard Ladd; and cousins, Swan(ette) Colpitts, Gail Bozzell, Ellen Power, Alan Hussey, and Ron Ladd. She was predeceased by her half-sister, Patricia Gould; sister-in-law, Belinda Davis; and step-daughter, Melanie Biggerstaff. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. A graveside memorial service will be planned for the future. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
