Obituary of Maynard F. Drew
Rockwood – Maynard F. Drew, 71, passed away September 25, 2016, at C.A. Dean Memorial Hospital, Greenville. He was born June 6, 1945, in York, the son of Gordon J. and Ethel G. (Tarbox) Drew. Maynard had moved to Rockwood in 1987 after retiring from Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He purchased Lincoln’s Camps in Rockwood, fulfilling a lifelong dream of owning sporting camps. He enjoyed camping and canoeing, hunting and fishing, moose cruising, and golfing. He was passionate about the Red Sox and the Patriots, and on game days could be found sitting in his recliner with his lap cats to watch the games. Maynard always enjoyed the month of October and his annual bird hunting trips with his brother, Jerry.
Maynard is survived by his former wife Sharron I. (Main) Drew of Plymouth and his longtime companion, Janice Tomer of Rockwood; two sons, Michael Drew of Greenville, and Dakota Drew of Rockwood; two daughters, Tammy Drew of Biddeford, and Heather (Drew) Bosco and her husband, James, of Hampton, NH; two brothers, Gerald Drew and his wife, Carol, of Kittery, and Richard Drew of Barefoot Bay, FL; eight grandchildren, Samuel, Michaela, Caroline, Joseph, Alexander, Kelsey, Nicholas, and Allison; and one great grandson, Luke.
