My heart is aching for Annette and Adam. My memories are flowing. The memory that comes to mind first was catching Annette and Grayln kissing on our couch. I also remember his Road Runner! You two were too cool for school! ❤️

My sincerest condolences to you Annette and family. I will always remember all the time spent with you, Graylyn, your mom around the kitchen table telling stories or playing games and Adam as a toddler. So many wonderful memories with a wonderful family. Stay strong.

Grayln was smart and knew his job. He helped me more than once while at GPD. I had a hard case once and Gralyn reassured me that I had done the right thing. I have never forgotten that and will always remeber him for this. May God Bless his family and May God Bless this good man Deputy Grayln Smith Code 4 until we meet again.

I awoke this morning to the very sad news of the passing of a friend and longtime fellow Deputy Sheriff Grayln Smith. We were "Old Timers" together. Grayln had me by a year or two. We worked together on many various details and events. I could always count on Grayln when I had a question or needed advice. We spent many hours Patrolling the North Woods on a Special Detail. We also were Civil Deputies which was somewhat interesting at times, to say the least. My Sincere Best Wishes to his Family at this time of Sorrow! Grayln has joined the Great Law Enforcement Community Above and will Forever be keeping watch on all! He did more than his share of watching over folks as he was also a Retired Army Reserve Veteran. May God Bless and Keep Him in his Care Forever! Until we meet again to Patrol Together. Bill Mulherin
