Damariscotta and Monson – June Marie Benner, 60, passed away May 8, 2022. June was born in Damariscotta on June 22 1961, the daughter of Daniel and Ella (Willey) Benner. June was well loved in the neighborhood and most of the community knew her from working in the bakery at yellow front in Damariscotta. June was a great cook and could make a great meal out of anything. She really loved watching her grandchildren grow and play. She was a loving nana/mimi, mother, sister, and friend She was predeceased by her parents; daughter Amanda; and siblings, Stewart, Danny, Kenny, Sue, Marsha, and Marilyn. June is survived by her two sons, Joshua Benner and companion, Krysten Chandler of Rockland, and Christopher Benner and wife, Ashleigh Benner, of Monson; brothers, Jimmy Benner, Merrill Benner, and Paul Benner, all of Waldoboro; companion of 20 plus years, Nathan Tozier of Damariscotta; grandchildren; Audrina, Landon, Kohner, Gunner, Brooklyn, Ava, Bentlee, Kendall. June also had many nieces and nephews. A small graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, May 27, 2022, at Shuman Cemetery, Route 220, Waldoboro. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
