Obituary of Eric J. Elliott
Dexter – Eric was born December 23, 1940, to Evangeline and Paul Elliott. He died unexpectedly January 1, 2023, surrounded by those who loved him so very much.
Eric was above all a devout Jehovah’s Witness and was baptized on January 24, 1959. He loved telling others about the wonderful future that Jehovah our God promises, a future here on easth with no more pain, sickness, or death. He was looking forward to being reunited in Jehovah’s new world with his parents and siblings, Dale, Neysa, and Wayne.
Eric loved his family very much, He and I were married 18 wonderful years and he always made me feel very loved. He left behind his children, John, Katherine, Joe, Elizabeth, and Paul as well as his granddaughter, Rachelle, and his great grandson, J.J. He left behind several grandchildren and nieces and nephews as well. He was very fond of his adopted daughter and son, Dani Lee and Dave.
Eric loved going camping and fishing and just couldn’t get enough of it. He loved doing things around the house with me and just relaxing on our front porch early summer mornings with our coffee. He learned to love our dogs, Lita and Magic and enjoyed them very much. Eric was a most thoughtful husband. He used to bring me coffee in bed every morning and sometimes breakfast too. He was always willing to help others and was always the first to volunteer for just about anything. He worked hard all his life from childhood on and he always gave his best. He was so strong and vital almost to the end. I always thought he was indestructible but an aggressive cancer took him away from me.
He will be missed so very, very much.
