Parkman - Jon Michael (Parker) Shorey, AKA: "Punk" & "Mike", 49, passed away February 26, 2023, after a remarkably long fight with pancreatic cancer. Mike was born November 14, 1973, in Bangor. He graduated from Foxcroft Academy, Class of 1992. Mike joined the United States Navy in 1995, and served as an Aviation Machinist Mate at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor, WA. for four years. Mike married Stacey (Harding) on March 1, 2014, and they became a family of six. They were married for 9 years, and bought a home in Parkman where they started a small farm. Mike worked as a mechanic for Rowell's Garage in Dover-Foxcroft, and spent a great deal of his spare time training to fight in the MMA, for Bare Knuckle Fights. He loved running, training, and tinkering on anything with an engine. Remaining to cherish Mike's memory are his wife, Stacey; children, Nathan and Brittany Febus, Renee Shorey and Jimmy, Tyler Febus and Alyssa, and Michael “Mikey” Shorey; grandchildren, Colby, Aria and Chloe; parents, Deborah Shorey and Elizabeth, Tim and Clarice Dunn, and Brad Parker; sisters, Amanda Parker and James, Megan Dunn and Paul; brother, Nathan Dunn; nephew, Dalton; nieces, Jillian and Isis; and many, many other friends and family. Mike was predeceased by several special grandparents, Robert and Floreda Parker, Lewis and Marjorie Shorey, Larry and Joan Peavey, and Myrna Alden. A special thanks to the Bare Knuckle Fights community, especially Ras, Ryan, Jason and Chris for always supporting Mike and giving him the strength to continue, to Chuck for standing by Mike throughout the years, and to Rowell's Garage and the Varnum's for your continued support and generosity. Family and friends are invited to visit 4PM Thursday, March 2, 2023, until time of memorial service with military honors at 6PM at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft.
