Monson- Douglas P. Villone, 73, passed away unexpectedly February 27, 2023, at his home. Douglas loved electronics and worked at Lockeed, in New Jersey and Motorolla in Scottsdale, Arizona. Later in life he started Monson Towing & Kennels. In 2004, he was awarded Animal Control Officer of the year in Maine. Douglas also started a food bank for animals and air conditioners for the elderly. He recently became a Eucharist minister. Douglas was predeceased by his parents, Tony and Jean Villone; and brother, Joseph Villone. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy, of 51 years; sons, Steven and wife, Anna, Doug Jr. and wife, Erin, Kenny and wife, Heather, and Danny and wife, Mindy; two daughters, Laura and husband, Ron, and Christine and husband, Shane; 16 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Jeff and wife, Sheri, John and wife, Colleen, and Tom and wife, Dawn; and he also leaves behind two special friends, Ron and Deb, and so many more. A graveside funeral service will be held 1PM Friday, May 19, 2023, at the Abbot Village Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
