I'm remembering Nancy and my heart is with her family. I can still hear her distinct voice and how she'd pull me in with her stories. She'd explain the situation clearly and often we'd laugh. She was strong, healthy, and in excellent shape. I went on a few hikes with her and I remember her beautiful garden at Lily Bay. Her quick wit, humor, and energy reminded me a lot of her mother, Vi. Nancy and Bob opened their hearts and home to me when I was younger and I loved spending time at their camp at Lily Bay or their farm in Greenville.
I often referred to Nancy as, "Pretty Nancy." I'm not sure that she even cared if she was pretty but I thought she was naturally beautiful. Mostly, she was beautiful inside. She loved her family fiercely and she was completely devoted to her faith. She was a good friend and helped many people during her lifetime. And,, her great grandson, Dennis, brought her so much joy. I'm also grateful that she had her close friend, Dan, to share companionship with for many years. She was always very loved and supported.
I feel like Nancy has crossed over to join other loved ones in this wonderful family. I'm very thankful that I knew them. Thanks for the many happy memories. Nancy will be missed and always remembered. Love, Lynne
