Monson - Russel James Hamilton, born in Dover-Foxcroft, passed away suddenly July 10, 2023, in his home in Monson. He was born May 2, 1958, son of Patricia (McKusick) Lavigne , the late Robert J. Hamilton, and stepfather, Tom Lavigne. Russel graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1977. In his younger years he worked at Squaw Mountain and explored the land around him. He often enjoyed fishing and spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. Russel is survived by his daughter, Rieland Graves and her spouse, Timothy; son, Benjamin; daughter, Rebecca Holman and her children, Alton and Rachael; siblings, Rita Fox, Rocky Hamilton, Randy Hamilton, Robert Hamilton, and Rene Hersey; and many extended family members. He was predeceased by his father Robert J. Hamilton, and sister Roberta Florence. Services will be announced.
