Sangerville ~ Linda J. Goodridge, 79, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2023. She was born April 15, 1944, the daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Eva (Hamel) Grant. Linda married Harold Goodridge on March 13, 1963. They had two children, Sherri and Scott. She spent most of her life living in Sangerville. Harold predeceased her on March 6, 1979. Linda was an active member of the Grace Bible Church in Sangerville and donated to numerous causes throughout her life. She was a peacemaker and was known for her kindness and love of her family. She spent her early years waitressing in a local restaurant and finished her working years babysitting for neighbors who she treated as family. She wanted to be remembered for living each day to its fullest. She will be missed by many people. Linda is survived by her daughter, Sherri McCoy of Burlington, VT; son, Scott Goodridge and his wife, Licia, of Dexter; three grandchildren, Justin McCoy of Burlington, VT, Macie Melvin of Bangor, and Abbie Melvin of Dexter; three sisters, Marjorie Braley, Mary Curtis, and Marilyn Braley; sister-in-law, Dorothy Herrick; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Harold, she was predeceased by four brothers Guy, Alfred, Edward, and Joseph Grant and their spouses, and four brothers-in-law, Roger Curtis, Clifford Braley, Charles Braley, and Roland Herrick. There will be a private burial in Village Cemetery in Sangerville. Friends and family are invited to an informal gathering at her son Scott Goodridge’s home on the Crockett Road in Dexter on August 19th between the hours of 1 and 4 PM.
