Don, Karen & the rest of the family,
Although I had only known Barbara for a short time since mov to Florida, she lived right across the street from me and would come out to get her paper then come sit with me and tell me about her family, her love of the daily crosswords in the paper and other various conversation, I will always remember a genuinely kind, soft-spoken, caring woman in her pink robe. It was a true pleasure to have met her and have our little talks. I will miss seeing her and miss our talks but I know she is not in pain and that comforts me. Don, David, Steve, Kathy and Karen, it has been so hard for me to express the feelings I have at this time. A part of me is gone and nothing will ever be the same. I looked so forward to seeing Sis come home in the springtime when the red bud and dogwood trees were coming into bloom. She loved them. This spring she will be in her heavenly home where all Gods' beautiful trees are in bloom and there will be one tree just for her and it will be the most beautiful color of red. I love you Barb.

I worked with Barbara at Key Bank. Even though we worked at different branches, we became good banking buddies. We traveled to Bangor often together to attend classes and/or meetings. During our travel times, we tried to solve the problems of the banking world! We talked often on the phone and were a support system for each other. She was a gracious lady and a dear friend and co-worker. Even after she retired, and I a few years later, we still kept in touch. I will miss her and her lovely smile. To Don and the rest of her family, my sincere sympathy. May God Bless you all. Karen, I so enjoyed the pictures you posted.

It's been quite some time since I've seen Aunt Barb, but I have always enjoyed visits as her and Don drove from Maine to Florida. She frequently would check in on me and see how my schooling was going with Granny Shelby, I always appreciated her interest in me furthering my education and her encouraging words. I regret that we didn't get to make it to Florida before she passed, but she will certainly always hold a special place in my heart and I know Granny and her other sisters will miss her dearly. Thoughts and prayers are with Don, the children and grand children.
