For we walk by faith, not by sight : We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the LORD . ( II Corinthians 5 :7 - 8 ). ... Blessed are the dead which die in the LORD ... ( Revelation 14 : 13 ). ...Unto Him that loved us , and washed us from our sins in His own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever . Amen. ( Revelation 1 : 5-6 ). He will swallow up death in victory; and the LORD God will wipe away tears from off all faces : and the rebuke of His people shall He take away from off all the earth: :for the LORD hath spoken it. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation. ( Isaiah 25 : 8 - 9 ). May you find great and profound comfort at this time ... In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; ( Titus 1:2 ) .

Isaiah was a wonderful brother in law. Always smiling and always happy. One of the most giving men I have ever known. He will be greatly missed. Sue Hill

I first got to know Isaiah when caring for his Dear Mother. Often visiting her, he would always speak to me, and truly appreciate all that was done for her. As his obituary said, you felt you were his friend after the first meeting. he knew how much I loved buttercup squash, and one evening he brought a bag full of pared and cut up prepared squash to me. I never forgot that sincere act of kindness. Rest in peace Pastor Hill.

I first met Pastor Hill during the summer of 1980. I had applied to attend the Christian Academy at his church and was attending my interview. I remember, he asked me several questions regarding my knowledge of the Bible; as I had only been saved for a few years, my knowledge was very limited. He asked me if I had ever read my Bible from cover to cover, and when I told him that I hadn’t, he strongly encouraged me to do so and to write down questions as I read, and he would answer them. That summer, I remember reading the book of Genesis for the first time and writing down questions for him that he did answer.
When I went off to college to study to be a teacher, he and his wife faithfully corresponded with me and prayed for me
I didn’t return back home to Maine to live, but I would come home in the summer to see my mom and dad When I did, I would attend Sebec Corner Baptist Church. It was as an adult, that I truly grew to admire, and highly respect Pastor Hill
Some of the things I admired about him are
— His joy: He never seemed stressed out or worried or upset He had a smile on his face that lit up the room.
—His Friendliness— I don’t think he ever met a stranger. He made everyone feel, loved and welcome. He called everybody friend
— His generosity— he would help anybody at any time, however he could
— His patriotism— Although he never served in the Armed Forces himself, he highly respected them, and thinking of America always made him cry
— His faithfulness— To his wife, his children, his community, his church, and his God.
— His love of God’s Word— He knew God’s Word, and he had hid It in his heart. I always loved to hear him preach.
There is probably much more than I could say So I will close with this
I know from the bottom of my heart, that when he walked through the gates of Heaven he heard his Savior say “Well done that good and faithful servant!”
I love you Pastor Hill! I know I will see you again and I am looking forward to that time!!
I so appreciate, and I’m so thankful for all that you invested into me!
Love
Rhonda Hillman
