Milo- Athalie L. Burke, 89, wife of the late Wilfred K. Burke, passed away December 4, 2016, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born February 20, 1927, in Medford Center, the daughter of Hollis and Lucille (Libby) Buck. She was an active member of the GFWC/Miosac Club in Dover-Foxcroft, serving for more than 60 years, and one of the founding ladies of the Neoteric Club in Milo. Athalie always enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking a meal for a full house. She is survived by a son, Glenn Burke and his wife, Diane, of Arizona; and a daughter, Susan Burke of Milo. A memorial service will be held 1pm Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at the Milo United Baptist Church, with Pastor Phil McGlauflin officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 51 U.S. Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, ME 04074.
