Aunt Lois,
You were my favorite aunt growing up. I am so sorry that the circumstances ended up where they did. My mom, Nan and I never wanted it to be that way. We were just put of an awkward position where we felt we needed to pick sides.
Listening to your nephews site specific events they shared with you made me sad. There was not ONE event in my life - large or small - that you were not there for. In addition to every holiday and every milestone I had, I remember how you would take me down to the Grindal's for dessert so they could see I was a part of your family. I cherish the sleepovers we had at your apartment behind the office, the fun we had with Tyler, Michelle and Sarah and planning my wedding. I am SO sorry you never got to get to know Dory. She is SO much like her namesake it is CRAZY! I wish you could have seen how much my kids love Emmy and Luky and how many happy stories they all hear about you. I am sorry. I loved you and should not have let family nonsense get in the way. Listening to all those other talks made me a bit angry as I know we were so much closer and it is my fault I let that go the past 10 years. I'm sorry it was too late to let you know. However, I never stopped loving you or calling you Aunt Lolo... May you find the peace that you deserve......Peace, love and paint brushes....xoxo

to all of Lois's family and friends, I met Lois many years ago thru her sister Shirley. She was always so kind, thoughtful and loved life. I was so sorry to learn of her battle w/cancer, she was a strong woman in her quiet ways. I sincerely hope she is without pain and now rests in peace.
