Dover-Foxcroft – Edith Turner Jeffries, 72, passed away March 11, 2024, at Northern Light Mayo Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born September 29, 1951, the daughter of John W. and Sylvia L. (Shorey) Turner. Edith was a very determined woman; whatever she wanted to do, she was going to do. She was an educator for over 20 years in Maine and Florida, finishing her career in special education. Edith proudly went back to school to become a Christian counselor. She was very active in her Clermont, Florida, Assembly of God Church. Playing piano, woodworking, and sewing were all things Edith enjoyed to do. Edith is survived by her daughter, Karen Jeffries; son, Stephen Jeffries and wife, Jen; sister, Rita Bilyeu and husband, Tim; brothers, Ralph Turner and wife, Dorothy, and Eric Turner and wife, Kathy; seven grandchildren, Emma, James, Jacob, Ethan, Luke, Sophie, and Collin; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and granddaughter, Abigail. A graveside memorial service will be held for the family this summer in the family lot in the Gray Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft.
