Bob and Joyce were great neighbors and friends. We grew up with their sons. Then our sons Everett and Todd grew up with Scotty Joe and Josh on South Main Street in Monson. Todd’s first son is named after his best friend Joshua Lander. Sad for the family and community for the loss of Bob. Bob give Josh a big hug for us please.

I will miss "Bamp". He shared with me some of the most important people I ever had in my life. I owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude for patting me on the head when I didn't deserve it, and scolding me when I did. He was somebody I could count on. The grandfather figure across the street.

Having known him all of my life there are many memories of Bob, his family and the many years that he served Monson as Town Manager, doing many hours of fixing, digging and anything g that had to be done, and his service on the Fire Debt. Joyce, Gregg, Scott, Dwayne and families, Bob was truly a fixture in Monson, Maine. From one of the fathers keeping an eye on the kids my age on South Maine Street to the town manager keeping an eye on all of the rest of the kids of the town, he was a part of all our childhoods. I remember his love of blackberries. I had a patch on the North Guilford Road and he would ask permission to brave the briers every year. What a great life!
