I first met Joan, my mother-in-law, in her garden as she checked its success plus she was weeding. She was a GREAT cookie cook which I quickly learned, the NY Yankees were her favorite baseball team as I turned her ornaments backwards because the Red Sox are my team and Joan smiled and talked with cheer to people in her kitchen. She will be missed but memories of her being with us drew happiness which is how she wanted to be remembered.
