Obituary of Richard "Rick" A. White Jr.

Williamsburg TWP - It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Richard (Rick) Alan White, Jr. Rick was born on January 18th, 1969 to Richard and Rose White of Brownville, Maine. He grew up in Brownville and graduated from Penquis Valley High School in 1988. Rick will always be remembered for his infectious humor and for being a big teddy bear, willing to give anything for the people he cared for. Rick was a friend to anyone he met. From a young age, Rick was a talented musician. He played saxophone in the school band, and later mastered the guitar, playing in several local bands with his friends who shared a love for hard rock bands such as AC/DC. Rick loved horror movies, gaming, tech, pets, and cooking. Rick left us to be with his family in heaven on May 1st. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Isabel (Lancaster) Greaney, and Marion and Fred Rhoda; a special Uncle, John Greaney; and a very special cousin and friend, Sheena Bragg. Rick leaves behind his parents, Richard and Rose White; his sister, Christine Bolstridge; brother-in-law, Nick Jenkins; and his three beloved nieces, Katelyn & Lauren Bolstridge, and Addison Jenkins. Rick leaves behind close cousins, Shannon Greaney, Troy Bragg, Ron White, Jr.; and a multitude of friends who became family along the way, Joey McLaughlin, Rollo Hathorne, Timmy Heath, Corey Rolfe, Bob Ade, Andy Coburn, Julie McSorley, Peter Farrar, Tom Hartin, and countless others. His precious cats, Rudy and Tiger Lily will miss his loving care and companionship as well. The family expresses sincere gratitude to those who helped Rick in his time of need, including Northern Light Primary Care of Milo, Brownville Fire and Rescue, and especially those at Northern Light Mayo Hospital, who provided care, laughter, and companionship during his final hospital stays. A small gathering to celebrate Rick’s life will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Milo on Sunday, May 12th at 2 o’clock. Directly afterward, friends and family will gather at McLaughlin’s Restaurant to share stories, kind words and condolences. It is encouraged for those who wish to do so to wear their favorite concert t-shirt in Rick’s honor, as we know he will be celebrating with us. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to PAWS, Penquis Animal Welfare Sanctuary, 39 Clinton Street, Milo, ME to further the work of caring for local pets, a cause Rick was passionate about. Our dearest uncle, brother, cousin, and friend, we will always carry your memory in our hearts.
