Brownville – Stanley Edward Lyford, 81, passed away June 17, 2024, at his home. He was born May 29, 1943, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Merle A. and Jennie (Bradshaw) Lyford. Stanley’s happiest days were spent playing horseshoes and arguing with his wife. He lived his life his way-always. Now he lives with the Angels- Amen. Stanley is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nadine (Brown) Lyford; children, Bonnie Ricker, Stephen (Ann Marie) Lyford, Keith (Teresa) Lyford, Loretta (Jimmy) Hartin, and Jeffrey (Tammy) Lyford; brother, Ron (Lottie) Lyford; two sisters, Joyce Carlson and Peg (Bob) Valvo; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Austin, Donald, Wayne, John, and Dave Lyford; sisters, Beatrice Knowles and Roberta Thurlen; and son-in-law, Francis Ricker. A celebration of Stanley’s life will be held 1PM Friday, June 20, 2024, at Loretta’s home, 103 Church Street, Brownville. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
