Guilford and Dover-Foxcroft – Beverly T. Edgerly, 87, passed away peacefully, with her daughter by her side, on August 20, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Maxine (Campbell) Tripp. The family takes great comfort knowing mom is reunited with dad again after 4 years and is free from vascular dementia. Bev grew up in Guilford and found out at a very young age what hard work was all about while working in the family restaurant, The Gold Nugget. In her teens she taught baton lessons and after she was married she taught sewing classes in her home on Blaine Avenue. Bev worked at the Guilford Town Office, where she was interim Town Manager after the current town manager passed away suddenly. She also worked for W.G. Blake Agency and Key Bank. After retirement, she and Rod wintered in Brooksville, FL for 20 years or more, where they set up every Monday at the Webster Flea Market. Bev, Mamie to all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and their friends, along with other kids in town, enjoyed having everyone up to her pool in the summer. Bev is survived by her son, Randy (Stacy) Edgerly; daughter, Ronda (Shane) Crouse; sister, Lorinda (Clint) Cushman; seven grandchildren, Kamisha, Lacresha, Michael, Ryan, Kelli, Jessica, and Jacklyn; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband of 65 years, Rodney Edgerly; sister, Charlotte Marie Harrington; grandson, Benjamin Edgerly; and great-granddaughter, Aria Priest. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Hilltop Manor for loving Bev and taking such good care of her for the past 3 years and to Gentiva Hospice for making her last year as comfortable as possible. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 in the fellowship hall at the Guilford United Methodist Church from 11-1.
