Obituary of Lorraine Ann Rodgerson

Lily Bay Township - Lorraine Ann Rodgerson, 63, passed away unexpectedly on August 22nd at her home in Lily Bay. She was born September 3rd, 1960, in Millinocket, Maine, the daughter of Joseph and Anna May (Trainor) Bertrand. She was a graduate of Stearns High School, Class of 1978 and received her BSN in nursing from Saint Anselm College in 1982. After college, Lorraine started a nursing career that spanned four decades. She started her career as an R.N. at Eastern Maine Medical Center, holding multiple positions culminating as V.P. of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer. The last nine years of her career were spent at C.A. Dean Hospital in Greenville, Maine where she served as V.P. of Nursing and Operations. Lorraine was a difference maker. Nursing was her passion as was making life better for future generations. One of her most proud achievements was being part of a team responsible for planning and building the new C.A. Dean Hospital. She set an example for others to follow: leader, colleague, mentor, and friend. She is survived by her husband of forty-one years, Kenneth Rodgerson; her sister, Kathy Harsch and her husband, Mark; her aunt, Marie Bertrand; her mother-in-law, Shirley Rodgerson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
