Dave will be well remembered by many segments of his community. He was a great educator and leader. Active in his church and caring for his community, he truly enjoyed being involved. I played softball with him for many years and he was just one of those people that always had time to talk with you about how the “our world “ in Dover- Foxcroft was going. He so enjoyed speaking of how his family was doing. He will be missed!

Rheba and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you all. It was always a joy to see David across the field or the field house as he kept the score board. He was a strong well liked man, he will be missed by many of us. May God be with you all during this time and love and prayers for you, David's family and also special friends. I can see David & Patrick giving huge hugs in heaven.

Mr. Michaud - as I knew him as my principal at H. A. Ladd school in Sebec, 6h grade - was inspired and thoughtful. My older brother was killed in Vietnam in February 1971 - after that tragic death, I began to act out in school - and ended up sent to the principal’s office several times. I was scared to death - and after he gave me a good talking to - he said, “if you come in here again you and I are going to tangle and we are going to tangle good!” I got sent to his office two more times - and each time he told me the same thing. I was probably in my forties before I finally realized that he knew what I was going through and helped me - much more than I ever realized as a twelve year old.
Thank you, Mr. Michaud for being a caring and inspired educator. God speed!

Dave was an amazing person, husband, father, friend, and surrogate dad. He would always check in and was always there when I had a question or needed help. Dave was such a true example of unconditional love and support. I will miss sitting down to meals with him (with supper ALWAYS at 5pm sharp) and discussing how he cooked the salmon or his "bodacious fish chowdah". I know that my dad is happy to now be able to play a game of poker with Dave and prank him once again. Much love and prayers are with my extended family today and always.
