Obituary of Linda Jean Macomber
Dover-Foxcroft - Linda Jean Macomber, 59, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 9, 2017, with her loving family by her side. Throughout her courageous battle with AML Leukemia, she never gave up hope of a cure.
Linda was born on September 4th, 1957, to Rita Folsom Bates. She graduated from Foxcroft Academy, Class of 1975, where she was a three-sport athlete, excelling in track and field. She also attended The Maine College of the Arts in Portland, Maine.
Linda lived life to the fullest and reveled in the simple pleasures of all life had to offer. Her love of the outdoors and nature could be seen throughout her home, both inside and out. She enjoyed gardening, a nice walk in the woods or just zipping around the trails on her side-by-side. She was a gifted and talented artist, touching many people with her beautiful paintings and her one-of-a-kind crafts.
Above all, she was a Mother. She was truly like no other. Her selfless dedication and love for her family was unrivaled. People were naturally drawn to Linda's warm and nurturing glow; whether it was making connections with the children's friends, the neighborhood children or just folks she met along the way.
