Obituary of Clyde G. Chadbourne
Cambridge - Clyde G. Chadbourne, 91, passed away January 12, 2017, at his home in Cambridge. He was born August 20, 1925, in Harmony, a son of the late George and Mae (Gilman) Chadbourne. Clyde was a graduate of Harmony High School, served in the U.S. Navy, retired from Grumman's Aerospace in Bethpage, NY after 25 years, and enjoyed hunting, gardening, wood-working and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Rosemarie, of Cambridge; two daughters, Linda Burger of Holbrook, NY and Karen Kovach of Cambridge; six grandchildren, Eileen Burger of White Plains, NY, Kristine Kasheta of Shady Side, MD, Erik Burger and wife, Britt, of Smithtown, NY, Lauren Kovach of Boston, MA, Kathleen Burger of Kingston, NY, and Susan Kovach of Manchester, NH; two great-grandchildren, Maeve and Kellan Burger; a brother-in-law, Richard Watson, and sister-in-law, Hazel Chadbourne, both of Harmony; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his five brothers and five sisters.
A memorial service will be held in the spring at the Chadbourne Cemetery in Harmony.
