Rose was my best friend since we were eight years old and I could not have asked for a better friend. Aptly named Rose, she was a bright flower, with great intelligence, humor, kindness, and independence. I will greatly miss her and I will remember her as I think of Harlow Pond and its breezes and the glittering wake created by the loons that graced its waters.

Was was a very dear friend. We shared many, many long discussions about on all sorts of subjects. Rose was interested in everything : books, politics, religion, health,movies, whatever. She had an inquiring mind and could contribute to any conversation. She lived a hard life, yet she was always upbeat and smiling. Sad, as I am to lose her, I know she lived her life on her own terms and when the end came, it was how she would have wanted it to come.

I am so sorry to be without Rose's presence at Book Club. I did not know her well, but found her to be very friendly, shy, and intelligent. She will be missed. Peace!

Rose was a cheerful, intelligent, and beautiful person. She will be surely missed by her Abbott Memorial Book Club friends and others who were privileged to know her. We were privileged to know her. Her light shone brightly!
