Obituary of Helena Johnson
Greenville- Helena Johnson, 70, passed away unexpectedly April 2, 2017, at her home. She was born March 3, 1947, in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of Frederick and Helen (Gardner) Weber. Helena was a dedicated wife and mother and participated in many crafts and specialty cooking projects. She and her family were posted all around the United States and in Germany while her husband was serving in the United States Army. Helena was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 94 in Greenville.
She is survived by her loving husband, Peter Johnson of Greenville; her son, Parker Johnson and his wife, Catherine, of Belgrade; her daughter, Jennifer Johnson and her husband, Mark Wilbur, of Passadumkeag; her grandson, Ethan Mattson of Belgrade; her brother, Fred Weber and his wife, Ronnie, of Ridge, New York; and her sister, Barbara Weber Perillo of Shelter Island, New York.
A memorial mass will be conducted 11am Monday, April 10, 2017, at the Union Church, Greenville, with Father Aaron Damboise officiating. Following mass, a reception will be held at the Bartley Family Event Center, 241 Pritham Ave., Greenville. Committal with prayers will be held 12pm Tuesday April 11, 2017, at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 305 Civic Center Drive, Augusta.
