Obituary of James G. Bennett

Parkman- James G. Bennett, 57, passed away June 25, 2017, surrounded by his family after a short illness.  He was born March 22, 1960, in Dexter, the son of Sandra Lou Holt and Daniel P. Bennett.  James owned and operated Bennett Construction for 25 years with his lifetime friend and employee, Russ “Fuzz” Silva.   His reputation and the promises kept to customers were held with great pride.

James is survived by his loving wife, Shelly (Johnson) Bennett; his daughters, Valerie, Terry, and Delani; his mother, Sandra; his brother, Dennis Brawn; his sisters, Shelly and Susan; his grandchildren, Jacob and Addy Beckwith; and his step-children, Kenneth Chavaree, Michael and Missy Kilgore.

A celebration of James’ life will be held at a later date.   James always believed in giving back when possible. In lieu of flowers please make a memorial donation to a charity of your choice.  Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
