Obituary of Virginia Alice Day Zimmerman

MONSON – Virginia Alice Day Zimmerman, 88, a retired LPN died August 1, 2017. She was born in Monson, Maine, the daughter of Arthur R. and Leola E. (Weeks) Day. Ginny was educated in the Monson Schools and was a graduate of Monson Academy and Husson College.

She served as receptionist and office person for John and James Durham at the Moosehead Manufacturing Company for many years before moving to Augusta, Maine, where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse becoming a Health Care Supervisor at the Walter’s Home in Hallowell, Maine.

She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Allana and Richard of Maine; a granddaughter and her husband, Hilary and Chris of New York; a grandson and his wife, Richard and Jennifer of Virginia; two great granddaughters, Kaycee of Maine and Allana of New York; and a great grandson, Brayden of Virginia. She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband, Murray Church; her son, Barry Church; and her second husband, Myron Zimmerman.
