Obituary of Robert S. Ryder

Veazie- Robert S. Ryder, 57, passed away November 14, 2017, at EMMC, Bangor.  He was born February 2, 1960, in Machias, the son of Clarence W. and Donna M. (Hamilton) Ryder.  Robert was an operating engineer who excelled at his work and was a 37 year member of the IUOE Local 4 out of Boston, Massachusetts.  He will be remembered as a very humble and kind man with a large and generous heart.  Robert loved his family, and enjoyed music and playing pool with his crew at Tony’s.

He is survived by his mother, Donna Ryder; his son, Brandon Ryder; his daughter, Casey Ryder; his brother, Michael Ryder and wife, Megan, and their children, Carrie and Chad; his former wife, Beth Kenney and her extended family; and his best friend, Brian Thurlow.

Memorial visitations will be held from 1pm until time of committal prayers at 3pm Sunday, November 19, 2017, at the Lary Funeral Home Greenville Chapel, located in the Masonic Hall, 281 Pritham Avenue.  Burial will be private at the family lot in Greenville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s name to a charity of your choice.
