I don't really know what to say. Chuck was a good family friend while I was growing up, and it's a shame that he died. My condolences to the family, though I never met most of you.

My deepest condolence to you Nancy and all the family and friends. My heart is heavy for I'll miss my buddy. This is one of those times words cannot express... For all the times Chuck had told me "to make it easier for when." I never gave a moment of thought to when I too would have to say good bye. As now I think of the first time I really met my friend, Woody. I was right here in this spot, loading my trailer with ramps, my come-along and my youngest son, Wesley helping, Wes was a toddler, about 3. A red van drove past, hit the breaks, then reverse, he got out ready to help and said "Woman you can't do that alone!" I grinned, as I cranked a little more to finish the task and we talked.. Through the years we have been there to help each other, lend a hand, and we talked, swapping tools, guidance or time, the greatest gift is time, and we talked. I loved the stories, the Love he has for his wife and family, his dogs, land the outdoors and Maine. And we talked.. Woody loved my horses, dogs and even my cat, they would come when he called. Animals know fine character, it was a mutual love and respect there too... and we talked. Just days ago we were working on something and Woody right there ready to help muscle through the task, loading a trailer. I had my trusty come-along and I grinned, "lets try this first" and while I cranked, we talked.. Through all the years he has been an angel walking among us, the difference now is he is watching over us all. I will always have great respect for my friend, all I have learned and forever grateful for all the help in building my new place, right here on the spot where we first met. Just the other day, as we cleared the roads up back, he was telling me how much he loved his land and someday.. We were both grateful there was not many trees down and enjoyed a beautiful sunny ride on his ATV, and we talked... All my love, Patty

Nancy,
My sincere sympathy to you. I so enjoyed working with you and Charlie when I owned Dave's World. I remember coming to your home to measure for flooring. So glad you had many lovely years together in the beautiful spot. Thinking of you. Jayne
