Obituary of Marion V. Brown

Guilford - Marion Viola (Woodard) Brown, 96, went to join her lost loved ones on Friday, December 15, 2017, at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 13, 1921, in Levant to Frank and Flossie Woodard. Marion was an avid country music fan and loved to dance. She was a regular at the Red Garter in St. Albans for years, where she had a reserved table and was not charged admission. Family was her world and she would go without for others.  She married Stanley Brown and she remained married for over 60 years.
 

She is survived by her son, Marlon Woodard and his wife, Ruby; her daughter, Ginny Brown and her partner, Charlie; her daughter-in-law, Donna Woodard; and a special brother-in-law, Richard Brown. She leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley; daughters, Glendene, Charlene and Debra; sons, Sheldon, Ronald and Wayne; three sisters; and four brothers.
