My heart is sad to learn of Sonny's passing. What a wonderful man. I remember him coming into Coburn Family Restaurant on music night and dancing with Diane. The love he and she shared in the way the looked at each other or the way the moved as a couple. What a joy it was to see them. He would often tell his stories of the times of war he was in. some sad some happy but He always finished with a smile and say but I made it. Sonny and Diane would come in everyday for breakfast and lunch until he went to the veterans home. I also remember my Nana had a camp next to Sonny and Diane's on Boyd Lake. We spent many many of summers next door. Always fun and happy to be around. Sonny you will be sadly missed by all. My thoughts and prayers for all his family especially to his wife Diane a very special lady.

Thinking of the family during this time. Uncle Sonny was a great person and will be greatly missed. We enjoyed visiting when we were home in Maine on vacation. I loved visiting with him and Diana at Angie's everyday, when I waitressed there years ago. Hold your memories close! Sending hugs from North Carolina!

My thoughts and sincere condolences are with the entire Burton family. One of the memories I have of Sonny is from clear back in the 80's when my sister Kelly and I drove to Maine for Thanksgiving at Sonny and Diana's house. When Kelly and I arrived, Sonny was the first one out the front door to put his arms around us and welcome us to his home. He welcomed us as though we were his own daughters. I will miss him and all the wonderful conversations we had. Rest In Peace!
