Fred graduated from Foxcroft Academy in 1947, and then went on to serve four years in the United States Air Force.  He returned to Dover-Foxcroft and worked for the United States Postal Service until his retirement.  After retirement, he delivered flowers for Riverside Florist.  Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf.

He is survived by a brother, John Colby Weston and his wife, Jean, of Allentown, PA, and a sister, Mary Weston Hartnett and her husband, Edward, of Basking Ridge, NJ.  He will be missed by many, especially Donna and Vern Crane of Dexter and their extended family, who were his Maine family.  He will also be missed by his wonderful neighbors, Norma and Shirley, and Shirley’s son, Glen.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Fred’s life will be held in the spring.  Memorial contributions may be made in Fred’s memory to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. ‘Lord, let me live until I die.  By that I mean I want to live, love, and serve fully until death comes.  If that prayer is answered, if I am able to live until I die, how long really doesn’t matter.’ -Sr. Thea Bowman
