I always Enjoyed Mr. Powers. I was never much into sports, He took me under his wing and made Me The Team Manager. I think of those times often. RIP

“Mr. Powers” was my teacher in middle school about 57 years ago and I will always remember him because I was not particularly well behaved. I came to regret this as I eventually became a teacher myself and realized the challenges of any teaching position, say nothing of a first year teacher. Mr. Powers helped shape our lives and for this I am grateful. To his family I extend my condolences and to Mr. Powers I offer thanks for a job well done shaping the lives of young people including mine.

I am sorry to read this. Mr. powers was my Math teacher in Middle School and we used to have a lot of fun with him. He would mess with us as much as we would mess with him. We had a lot of laughs and he was always laughing with us. He was a great man and wonderful teacher. God Bless!

I had Mr. Powers for 2 years of math at the Milo Junior High School. He was an excellent math teacher. I remember that a friend and I got a case of the giggles in his classroom one day and just couldn't stop. He sent us out of the room until we could control ourselves. He always tried to maintain a good learning environment for the students and if anyone had a question about a problem, he would take his time to explain it. May he rest in peace and may peace and good memories comfort the family.

Mr. Powers was both an icon and a legend back in the days of Brownville Junction Junior High School. He was one of those larger than life characters as both Teacher and Coach and his presence will be missed on this Earth. I am saddened to hear of his passing but thankful he played an influential role in my life.
