I am stunned and saddened to learn of David’s passing. It grounds me with the fact that we are all mortal and I am within a year of his age. I was brought up next door to David and his parents and mine were best of friends. While David and I were not close in our high school years (He was an athlete and I was far from one.), when he moved back home to care for his parents I got to know him better. He also became a watchful neighbor for my aging parents. He always paid attention to the lights at my parents house to be sure they were up and moving. My parents and I could always call on him if they (my parents) needed help. My condolences go to all who knew David and considered him a part of their lives and, David, I thank you for the care and friendship you extended to my parents.
