Dover-Foxcroft – Ernest Tilley, 79, passed away April 21, 2016, at Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. He was born June 6, 1936, in Westfield, Maine, the son of Arthur A. and Beulah (Chambers) Tilley. He attended the Church of the Nazarene. As a young man, he had worked at Center Theater in Dover-Foxcroft, and at the Sebec Post Office. He had also been the caretaker for the two churches in Sebec. He enjoyed mowing lawns for friends. He is survived by a brother, Darrell Tilley and his wife, Barbara, of Rhode Island; and several nieces and nephews. He will be especially missed by his Hilltop family and his church family. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mae Sherwood and Edna Marshall. A graveside memorial service will be held 11am Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the family lot in Sebec Corner Cemetery, Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
