Sorry for the belated condolences, but Mike was like a relative to me. His dad, Adam, was in a business partnership with my father and we all were like brothers and sisters back then. I never spent all that much time with Mike, and I'm glad he pursued his passion for flying; he always had that in him. I have this memory of skiing at Wildcat with him and my brother... we had so much fun that day. It saddens me to hear of his passing, and my thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Mike...

Mike Bushman was one of a kind - he approached life with 100% enthusiasm! Mike loved snowmobiles, boats, the great outdoors, our small town of Greenville, and people. Mike came into our life, (my husband Kevin's & mine) about 2010 through the Alpha course. Mike had then, and til the very end, some of the best questions ever about faith and Christianity. Frequently he would say before leaving for the night, "I just have one more question ..." and then he would launch into one that revealed hours of personal reflection. At times he could be blunt, and at other times sweetly tender. I remember the last meal we had with Mike, just 2 days before he entered the hospital. As always, when he said grace before a meal, he asked God to bring our troops home quickly. Mike understood personally how they felt; he had been in their shoes. He was aware of his own many blessings, in spite of deteriorating health. He felt he had had a good and happy life. He didn't focus on the negatives, or any hardships. He loved his wife Lindsey, and his family. We miss him very much. Monday nights without Mike won't be the same. But, he is in heaven now, and we will see him again one day.

Mike was a joy to spend time with. He was passionate about the things he believed in but still willing to listen and open. His challenging questions during the Alpha course and in our Monday night Bible study caused me to think more deeply about the issues we were discussing.
Mike loved Greenville, its people and the natural beauty that surrounds us here. I remember how he often made comments wondering why anyone would ever want to be anywhere else.
We shared interests in snowmobiles, Jeeps, boats and the like which always made our conversations fun and interesting.
I miss you Mike and look forward to being reunited with you one day. God blessed me when he brought you and Lindsey into my life.

Mike was the exact uncle you would want. I remember so many amazing memories of him but a couple stand out. First, I remember him being convinced to ride at my Aunt Carol's house and what a big to-do this was. It was SO fun running down to the barn and seeing him jump on. He was also so fun and willing to be up for a good time. And the times he took us camping and gave us all jobs and we all helped, it was awesome. And then as an adult, I went up to see him and Lindsey and he drove everywhere trying to see a Moose! We FINALLY saw one and he saw so relieved, it was so sweet and kind. His kindness and gentle spirit will always be remembered.

I'll miss my big brother. We didn't see other often as we couldn't pry him out of Maine but when we did get together, it was like old times. He was such an outdoorsman and lived in his own paradise in Greenville, Maine. I was always so glad that he had his wife, Lindsey, they had a great marriage. So, I think he had it all. Rest in peace, Mike. I will think of you so often and smile.
