Obituary of Patrick Evan Brown

Colorado Springs, CO - Patrick "Rick" Evan Brown "slipped the surly bonds of Earth” and passed to his Eternal rest surrounded by his family on June 16, 2018, in Colorado Springs, CO.

Rick was born in Charleston, IL to John and May Brown on August 26, 1946. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1965 and proudly served his country for 26 years retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. Rick continued to work as an electronics instructor and a defense contractor. He was an avid Ham radio operator and an outstanding photographer.

While at Charleston AFS, ME; Rick met the love of his life, Helen Gammon.  They shared over 45 years together. He is survived by his brother, Bruce (Carna) Brown of Rossville, GA. He was an awesome Dad to his two sons, Glenn (Katie) and Brian (Stacy). His granddaughters, Katelyn and Harper brought him great joy. Rick left behind an extended family and group of friends who were precious to him.

A Celebration of Life was held June 27, 2018. In honor of Rick, please make donations to the Catamount Institute, catamountinstitute.org or a charity of your choice.

A graveside committal service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, August 11, 2018, in Rural Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft.  Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
