Even though it's easily been 40 years or more since we hung out , I will always consider Mark to be one of my best friends . I arrived in Maine in 1967. An Army Brat and an only child on top of that . The kid from away . Mark was one of the few locals that befriended me . He'll never know how much that meant to me . As an Army Brat , we moved often . I moved here from Arizona having lived there only 6 months . Culture shock to the extreme . That was 4th grade and my dad was on his way to Viet Nam . If there was ever a time in my life when I needed a friend , that was it . Mark became that friend . We were good friends through High School . I am sure he enjoyed the same music I still listen to . I am saddened to hear of his passing . My condolences to his family .
