Obituary of Roland O. Lyford

 

Milo – Roland O. Lyford, 80, passed away November 12, 2018, at his home.  He was born November 19, 1937, in Milo, the son of Orin P. and Beatrice I. (Hoxie) Lyford. Roland had worked for the B & A Railroad as a welder for 37 years. 

 

Roland was a hardworking man who enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting. He was extremely fond of his dogs and horses, and will affectionately be remembered as a earned “horse whisperer” by his family and friends.

 

He is survived by his significant other, Corinne Cross; two sons, Greg Lyford and fiancée, Deborah Smith, and Anthony Lyford and wife, Stephanie; a daughter, Darlene Hoxie; stepchildren, Casandra Mitchell and fiancé, Adam Coover, and Britney Ledford and husband, Dustin; two sisters, Diana Burton and Glenice Blethen; seven grandchildren, Kirby John Lyford and wife, Sarah, Allison Woodard and husband, Phil, Ashley Lyford, Douglas Lyford and fiancée, Olivia, Brady O’Connor, Brooke O’Connor, and Devin Ledford; three great-grandchildren, Kallie, Colton, and Leigha; and several nieces and nephews.  He will be remembered by the mother of his children, Bertha M. Lyford.

 

He was predeceased by a son, Kirby Lyford; two brothers, Donald Lyford, and Jack Hoxie; two sisters, Anita Edgerly and Ardis Lyford; and a grandson, Dylan Lyford.
