My condolences to the family of the great Tom Borden. As a childhood friend in Nabnassett, Tom and all our friends enjoyed a true rural upbringing. The lakes, forests , railroads and quarries of Westford provided great adventures and life lessons. Tom had a unique delayed laugh and a wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, friendly and kind. Thank you, Tom, for being part of my life, and thank you for your service to our country.

Tom always had a story! It always took a bit longer to get my coffee when Tom was working.....I remember one particular story about a fish that he only saw........ as it was following one that he was catching to the boat! I hope now he is at peace ,fishing some new waters.... He will be missed!

I am so sorry for your family’s loss. Tom always had a smile on his face even when I could tell he may not be feeling very well. When I first met him for the longest time I thought his name was Fred. So Tom started calling me Wilma. I will miss you, your sense of humor and smile.
Rest In Peace Fred, Love Wilma.

I knew Tom from his time at Fox Brook and have since run into him at Cancer Care in Brewer and around town. He was a kind, pleasant and positive man and I believe he fought the hard fight. My heart goes out to his family.

It always made my day to see Tom. He was ill the entire time I knew him, but he always had this spark for life and he loved sharing fishing stories — his were obviously experienced while mine were those of a clumsy beginner. I think he was more excited than I was about the big togue my husband and I caught this summer!
He was always so nice and pleasant, and happy. My thoughts go out to his family—what a wonderful man.
