I was so sorry to hear of my wonderful (great) Aunt Barbara's passing. So many great memories of her and Uncle Gordon at Camp Moosehorns! She made the best popcorn (and yeast rolls, and doughnuts!); I remember eating that popcorn while watching Hee Haw at Camp Moosehorns - they had a generator (very cool way back in the woods)! Cold winter nights under quilts so heavy you couldn't move once she pulled them up over you and tucked you in, but so warm! Fourth of July with (slightly illegal at that time) fireworks - she would give us jars so we could catch fireflies while we waited for it to get dark enough for the men to light the fireworks. She fed flying squirrels there in the winter and helped me smuggle some baby red squirrels out one summer that she found in one of Uncle Gordon's boots. And learning about mushrooms on walks with her when I was a kid - she gave me some very helpful books once I regained that interest in adulthood. When I harvested my first deer, she made me a cake that said, "You go, girl!" I have many more memories of her, but the best I can say is that she was such a beautiful little lady with a great sense of humor; I hold her in very high regard, and she will be very much missed.
