Clowse was my Dad's coffee mate in the morning.. listening to those 2 talk was one of my favorite things.. My girls loved getting a ride to school with Mr. Brown. To me, Clowse was a friend and I will miss him.. My sincerest condolences to Laura and Patty. I have you in my heart.

I was very sorry to hear that Clowes passed away. We became good friends when we both used the fitness center at the hospital while I was living in Greenville. We had a lot of great conversations and laughs while we were exercising. I want to express my sympathies to Patty and Laura and the whole family and hope that everyone is helped by the fond memories of Clowes.

We go way back as Clowes was a next door neighbor to my Grandfather's house in Monson. As a frequent visitor to my grandparents and with Peter Pullen living on the other side we were back and forth with the Browns all the time during the 1950's. Later Clowes cut wood on our family lot in Elliottsville. He was a big supporter of our local E-ville Riders S/C. I will miss him going back a forth into town and always stopping to chat when he saw me.

We`re so sorry for your loss, nothing we can say that makes it better, John knew Clowes, I met him at exercise, he made it special with his sense of humor, he came at the right time in my life, I needed his jokes, we had serious talks too, he was the only person I knew that could walk on water,he told us that often, I never got to see it, I`m sure he could, he was a very special guy, he`s going to be missed by many.
You have so many precious memories, hope you find comfort, in all the good times.

Clowes Brown was the last person to talk with my brother, John Larry Hanks. They were in Sals Country Store in Monson in July, 95. My brother enjoyed talking with Clowes and he mentioned his name to me several times. They were fellow loggers. Both born in 1944. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Patty and family: I was saddened to hear of Clowes's passing. I have fond memories of Clowes while we were growing up in Monson and during our school years at Monson Academy. In later years I have enjoyed talking with him whenever he would stop by the MHS Museum. He had a good knowledge of Monson's history and lots of stories about its inhabitants. I will remember him as being a wise, down-to-earth and common sense kind of man. I hope that all of the happy memories that you all share help to sustain you during this difficult time.RIP Clowes.

Patty and Laura, Dick and I were saddened to hear of Clowes’ passing. Dick fondly remembers him as a classmate, a basketball and baseball teammate, and a fellow Air Force Vietnam Veteran. I remember him singing Cut Across Shorty, having the coolest cars in high school, and playing cribbage and hearts half the night at Emmanuelson’s camp.
