Milo – Michael Kenneth Dean, 68, passed away peacefully April 21, 2019, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor. He was born April 22, 1950, in Milo, the son of Stanley L. and Shirley Mae (Slauenwhite) Dean. Michael served proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Persian Gulf War, Operation Desert Storm, on a destroyer escort, and retired after 21 years of service. After serving our nation, he worked as an over the road trucker until his retirement.

Michael is survived by his companion, Verna “Jackie” Mann; two sons, Robert and James Dean; four grandchildren, Felicia, Caitlin, Bella, and Paisley; three brothers, Ronald Dean and his wife, Betty, George Dean and his wife, Karen, and Stephen Dean Sr. and his wife, Glenna; sister, Patricia Jones and her husband, Bernard; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, and a brother, Donald Dean.

A memorial service will be held 10am Friday June 7, 2019, at the Brownville Junction United Methodist Church, with his brother, Rev. Stephen Dean officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the family lot at Pine Tree Cemetery, Brownville Junction. Following the burial, all are invited back to the church for a reception. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brownville Junction United Methodist Church, P.O. Box A, Brownville Junction, ME 04415. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
