Obituary of Barbara E. Merchant Young

Guilford – Barbara E. (Quinn) Merchant Young, 89, went home to be with the lord May 14, 2019, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born April 23, 1930, in Medford, Massachusetts, the daughter of Edward F. and Helen (Bennett) Quinn. Barbara worked as a nurse for many years. She was a member of the Family Worship Center in Dover-Foxcroft.

Barbara was predeceased by her first husband and children’s father, Donald E. Merchant Sr. She is survived by her husband, Roland E. Young of Guilford; sons, Donald E. Merchant of Hollis, Gregory A. Merchant and his wife, Cheryl, of Rumford, and Jeffrey S. Merchant and his wife, Mary, of Dover-Foxcroft; daughters, Donna Danna of Florida, Daryl Huntress and her husband, Michael, of Ohio, and Deborah Webber of North Carolina; brother, Edward Quinn of Texas; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
