Obituary of Lawrence Witham
Sebec - Lawrence Witham,90, of Sebec, Maine passed away in the early morning of May 8,2019 at Hibbard's Nursing home in Dover-Foxcroft with his wife Brenda and Daughter Tammy by his side. He was born July 6, 1928 in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Alfred and Mildred "Lyford" Witham. He graduated from Milo High School, served in the US Air Force and was a regional manager for New England Telephone. After his retirement, he enjoyed carpentry, horseback riding, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ATV riding, boating and traveling in his motorhome. He took great pride in his home inspection business. Larry also loved the time he spent on the coast at Deer Isle-Stonington and Bar Harbor.
Larry and his first wife Shirley "Watkins" Witham were the proud parents of Gayla, Kevin, Karen and Gary, grandparents of 10, great-grandparents of 24 and great-great grandparents of 7.
Later in life Larry and Brenda were married and enjoyed many happy years together in the cottage at Sebec Lake. Larry is survived by his wife Brenda, son Gary Witham and wife Jennifer, daughters Gayla Baker and husband John, and Tammy Campbell. Step-son Rob Campbell, son-in-law William Imsdahl, brother Carroll Witham and his wife Kathryn, sister Marilyn Wyman and husband Richard. Sisters-in-law Margaret Witham and Barbara Boyce, grandchildren Celena, Tiarra, Jason, Tess, Daniel, Andrew, Zach, Casey, Peyton, Tatum, Nicole and Alex, many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Jenise McSorley.
He was predeceased by his son Kevin Witham and daughter Karen Witham, grandson Christopher Martin and great-grandson Chaz King, brothers Chester Witham and Maurice Witham, his sister Margaret Witham Ingerson and her husband David, brother-in-law George Boyce, brother and sister-in-law Cal and Betty Lawson, brother-in-law Neal Johnson, nephew James Witham.
We wish to thank the staff at Hibbard's for their care and concern. Many thanks to Maurice Witham, Bud Dillon and Danny Dow for your may acts of kindness, larry appreciated you. Thank you Carroll and Kathy for your help and support since lawrences passing.
Larry was deeply loved and is greatly missed.
