Obituary of Philip E. Walker

Greenville - Philip E. Walker, 82, loving husband, father, grand and great-grandfather peacefully left the "Great Maine Woods" May 28, 2016, at C.A. Dean Memorial Hospital, Greenville. He was born January 28, 1934, in Greenville. Phil enjoyed a long career working for Scott Paper Company and a rewarding retirement crafting beautiful creations from antique flatware, earning the name, "The Spoon Man". His knowledge of Moosehead Lake and its history made for many great stories to share. Phil was truly one of "The Last of the Old River Drivers". Leisure time was spent boating, attending his granddaughters sporting events, walking his faithful dog Angel and really enjoying his family and friends. Phil was a 32 Degree Mason and a member of the Shriners. He is survived by his wife, Beverly A. (Turner) Walker; a son, Kyle Pelletier and his wife, Erin; daughter, Cynthia Anderson and her husband, Donald Lambert; five grandchildren, Ryan Anderson, Scott Anderson, and Lily, Halle and Aleya Pelletier; two great-grandchildren, Joseph Burrow and Ethan Anderson. He was predeceased by a son, Philip E. Walker, Jr. and his siblings, Frank Walker, Frances Roy, Beverly Macomber, Bitha Jardine, and Sally Bell. A graveside memorial service will be conducted 11am Friday, June 3, 2016, at the family lot in the Greenville Cemetery, with Pastor Ron Reamer officiating. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Columbia Doric Lodge No.149, PO Box 141, Greenville Jct. 04442, Phil's Masonic family for 51 years.
