Obituary of Thomas F. Gilbert Jr.

Greenville – Thomas F. Gilbert Jr., 81, passed away peacefully November 9, 2019, at his home. He was born January 20, 1938, in Jersey City, New Jersey, the son of Emily (Streker) and Thomas F. He was an avid outdoorsman, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. Tom had a deep passion for rabbit hunting, and he raised beagles for over 40 years. Some of his favorite memories were teaching his boys to hunt and fish. He stood by the New York Giants, Yankees, and Rangers faithfully and enjoyed all sports. Tom often could be found reading; he read hundreds of books and especially appreciated reading about history.
